was artistically developed by César Manrique in 1968. A 'Jameos' is a bubble of lava, formed when a lava tunnel ceiling collapses or when the trapped gasses expand leaving a cavity behind.

Cueva De Los Verdes

and Jameos Del Aqua are both spectacular and interesting places to visit. You can only view approximately 1.5 kilometres of the known 6 kilometre tunnel system.
Concerts are regularly held in the seated area within these unique surroundings.

Well worth a visit. Not suitable for impaired walkers or toddlers.
