It is possible to walk along the cliff edge and stand in the natural ledges to watch the spectacular sight of waves crashing through large holes in the brittle lava.

The cliffs are several feet high but the force of the waves, on a stormy day, hit with such velocity it forces itself through the potholes made in the lava with constant weathering, creating a thunderous noise.
