Puerto Chico 'A' is within a 2 - 5 minute walk from shops, beaches and a wide range
of restaurants and entertainment venues in Playa Blanca village.

There are 'white' sandy beaches close to the property - Playa Flamingo, Playa Blanca town beach, Playa Dorada beach, Playas de Papagayos.
Bicycle Hire
Bicycles can be hired from the shopping arcade.
Chemist
There are several in the area. The closest can be found by turning right of the bungalow front door, passed the parade of shops and roundabout toward the town. Continue toward the road that runs parallel to the pedestrian town walkway and the chemist is on the corner. A further chemist is situated in the centre of Playa Blanca close to the main roundabout and Taxi rank.
Children’s Play Area
This can be found beyond the town main roundabout and just before the church at the distant end of the town.

Just past the children's play area in the Avenida de Papagayo.
Carnival
The Playa Blanca carnival normally takes place just before Easter. Following a procession through Playa Blanca village it closes with a fiesta in the village square.
Doctors
There are several private clinics. The closest - Clinica Lanzarote is located in the parade of shops in front of the Lanzarote Park Hotel beyond Club Puerto Chico reception entrance. There is a new doctors surgery (German I think) recently opened at the start of main walkway in the town and round the corner from the chemist.
Fiesta
A local Fiesta is held during the middle of July in Playa Blanca harbour and town beach area. This can be quite lively and extends into the evening hours.

The Rubicon marina holds a market on Saturday mornings. There is also a Sunday market at Teguise. There are bus trips, which allow about three hours at the market, departing from several areas of the island.
Petrol
The local petrol station is located on the roundabout leading in to Playa Blanca from Yaiza.
Police
The police station is located on the left hand side of the main road leading down to the town beach roundabout from the Petrol station roundabouts.
Post Office
This can be found on the street parallel to the town pedestrian way and opposite the police station, at the town beach roundabout end. Note stamps and postal facilities are available at supermarkets. Look for the yellow postal boxes.
Sea Sports and leisure facilities
At Dorado beach there are jet ski's and pedaloes
for hire, banana boat trips are also available. There is also the Dive College
Lanzarote which is an international PADI dive centre which offers a pick-up and
drop off service from the bungalow. They offer courses for people of all ranges
which cover all PADI dive courses.
Taxis
The main taxi rank is close to Playa Blanca's main town roundabout. There are further taxi ranks in the harbour area. Club Puerto Chico staff would be pleased to reserve your taxi for you. The taxi fare to Arrecife Airport is approximately 35 Euros including the tip.
Telephones
There are numerous public telephone boxes around the resort. Phone-cards can be purchased from supermarkets.
Tourist Information
There is a small office in the harbour at the ferry terminal booking offices area. This is due to be upgraded to a kiosk and to be located at the harbour entrance area.
Walks
There is a 7 mile coastal walk which stretches from the beaches
at Papagayo to the lighthouse at Pechiguera Point. Montaña Roja, which
overlooks Playa Blanca, has a steep path leading to the summit. This offers
panoramic views toward the islands of Los Lobos and
